Jagodna beach & cove

Location: Sveta Nedjelja, not far from Ivan Dolac

The romantic cove of Jagodna, with its photogenic pebble beach and crystal-clear sea, is located on the south side of the island of Hvar, not far from Ivan Dolac. Its scenic beauty, crystal-clear water, rocks from which you can jump into the sea and dense pine forest from which you can hear the song of crickets have won the hearts of many globetrotters and adventurers. There’s also a campsite and a restaurant in the cove, and the nearest shop is in Ivan Dolac.

Mekićevica beach & cove

Location: 2.5 km east of the town of Hvar

You can reach this picturesque cove not far from the town of Hvar by boat from Hvar harbour or on foot following a path that leads alongside the sea from the cove of Pokonji Dol to Mekićevica. There are two beaches with white pebbles, where you can enjoy swimming in the turquoise sea, jumping off the rocks, and relaxing in the pristine island atmosphere. The beaches are partly naturist, and there is a restaurant with Dalmatian cuisine nearby. A real miniature paradise for adventurers!

Lučišća beach & cove

Location: 2 km north of Sveta Nedjelja

Another beautiful small cove is located at the foot of a 500-metre cliff near Sveta Nedjelja. It will captivate you with its white pebbles, clear sea and ethereal Adriatic scents. Not many people know about this beach, which can be reached by boat from Sveta Nedjelja or by car to the nearest parking place, and then on foot along a narrow path (200 m) through macchia and the Mediterranean rocky landscape to the beach.

Velo & Malo Zaraće beaches

Location: Zaraće

Zaraće is a picturesque village on the south side of the island of Hvar perched on top of a rocky cliff, below which are two exotic deep coves with pebble beaches: Velo Zaraće to the east and Malo Zaraće to the west. The beaches are sheltered by impressive cliffs that provide an epic backdrop for a unique Adriatic experience. You can reach them by boat from the harbour at Hvar or by car.

Žukova beach & cove

Location: Rudina, 2 km north of Stari Grad

On the most indented part of the northern coast of Hvar, not far from Stari Grad, you’ll find one of the island’s most beautiful coves: Žukova. Its gently sloping rocks are ideal for those who love wild nature, while a small part with pebbles is suitable for families. The peaceful atmosphere, turquoise sea, view of the island of Brač – what more do you need?

Dubovica beach & cove

Location: Dubovica

The picturesque cove of Dubovica with its extensive pebble beach, amazing seabed and view of the stone-built 18th/19th century summer residence of the Kasandrić family is a hidden gem of the island of Hvar, and can be reached along an unmarked hiking trail. If you arrive by car, park in the car park on the left at the exit of the Hvar-Stari Grad tunnel on the Hvar side, then take the hiking path down to the beach. You can also reach the beach by boat. You won’t regret it!

Mlini beach & cove

Location: Mlini (Pakleni Islands, Marinkovac)

The forested lagoon of Mlini on the east side of the Pakleni islands is one of the most romantic oases of Hvar. The combination of turquoise cove and green vegetation will leave you breathless. In summer, the beach is very popular and offers a wide range of amenities, while earlier or later in the season it offers a more peaceful atmosphere. You can reach it by boat from Hvar.

Pokonji Dol beach & cove

Location: town of Hvar

Pokonji Dol is the largest pebble beach in the town of Hvar, with a view of the islet of the same name with a lighthouse built in 1872. This beach is not secluded, but still offers pure enjoyment in all shades of blue. On the beach you can rent a sun lounger and parasol, enjoy a delicious meal in one of the nearby restaurants, or take a canoe or pedal boat to explore nearby coves.

Mala Milna beach

Location: Milna, Malo Grablje

Milna is one of the oldest excursion sites on the south coast of Hvar with a beautiful pebble beach Mala Milna bordered by greenery and natural rocks. Never overcrowded, this beach is ideal for families with children because of its shallow sea and easy access. In the vicinity there are good restaurants, the 17th-century summer residence of the aristocratic Ivanić family, and the village of Malo Grablje that resembles a pirates’ lair.

Veliki Pokrivenik beach

Location: Pokrivenik

On the northern coast of the island, between Poljica and Gdinj, at the foot of impressive rocks and tall pine trees lies the beautiful cove and beach of Pokrivenik.
